A one-day workshop was conducted on 13th April 2017 to prepare candidates on designing a research proposal. The workshop was organized by the Studies and Research Department of Al-Buraimi. The core objective of the workshop was to equip the researchers and healthcare workers who are planning for higher studies with set of skills and potentiality to write a research project.
The course dealt with a variety of quantitative and qualitative research methods used in health research. It provided exposure on how to identify a problem, skills of literature review, writing good research questions, objectives, and hypothesis. By the end of program, the participants developed a research proposal of a significant research problem. The workshop was given by Dr. Abdullatif Al Balushi, research consultant and attended by 31 participants. The workshop consists of 3 hours theory and 3 hours practice.
